SEC Home/Away Opponents Released for Reigning Champs

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina women’s basketball learned today at which location it will play each of its 16 SEC games in the 2025-26 season. Of the seven teams that joined the Gamecocks in the 2024-25 final rankings, four will come to Colonial Life Arena as will two other NCAA Tournament participants. They will face NCAA Tournament participant and top-20 finisher Alabama twice in 2025-26.

The four-time reigning SEC Champion Gamecocks will host Texas, Tennessee and Ole Miss – all top-20 finishers last season – in Columbia in addition to NCAA Tournament participants Mississippi State and Vanderbilt. Georgia and Missouri round out the Gamecocks’ home slate.

On the road, South Carolina will travel to final top-15 foes LSU, Oklahoma and Kentucky. The Gamecocks will play Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Texas A&M and Alabama on their home courts as well.

South Carolina has won nine SEC regular-season titles over the last 12, including the last four, and has not been outside the top two in that stretch.  Head coach Dawn Staley is 214-56 in SEC play, including back-to-back undefeated seasons, with her .793 league winning percentage second only to Tennessee’s Pat Summitt (.874) in league history. Her 214 conference wins are the most among active league coaches and third all-time, trailing just Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame inductees Andy Landers (Georgia, 273) and Summitt (Tennessee, 306).

The 2026 SEC season will begin Thu., Jan. 1, and conclude with the SEC Tournament held at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C., March 4-8.

Dates, times and television information will be announced at a later date.
